Good for her!  Losing 7 lbs is quite an accomplishment for a child.  You must be a wonderful inspiration to her. — Brenda 209/178/150 IFFC goal 175

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I was so shocked to have lost as well.  DGD spent the weekend with the other DGD and ate junk food as well, she was up 1 pound but still 7 pounds less than when we started. — SuzyQ Weight 124 WW Lifetime Membership Feb 03 Wow SuzyQ, this is amazing!  I was waiting to read that you had put on a couple of pounds.  Boy, you must have been surprised to see a loss! Congratulations!!! How is your granddaughter doing? — Brenda 209/178/150 IFFC goal 175 OK, I’ve been bad…really bad… I haven’t been to curves for a week, haven’t walked every day because it’s been raining.  Thursday night we went to an all you can eat buffet……and I can still eat a lot, fried chicken, pizza, shrimp, fried potatoes, cake and pie.  Saturday we videotaped a wedding and they had fantastic cake!  Afterward we went out and had chicken fried steak (Texas size) with a baked potato as big as a house and REAL sour cream.  Yesterday I went to a birthday party….more cake.  Then we had to do the father’s day feast.  T-bone, shrimp cocktail, corn on the cob, vegetables, bread, dessert. So I haven’t counted points for 4 days in a row and really pigged out. This morning I weighed 123.  I did notice a couple of women looking at me at the buffet while I loaded my plate and I know they were thinking ‘wish I could eat like that’.  Have I suddenly turned into a ‘naturally thin’ person? I will be back OP this morning and going to Curves.  But I really do think eating well can raise metabolism.  It doesn’t happen overnight.  I’ve been on WW for almost 8 months. — SuzyQ Weight 124 WW Lifetime Membership Feb 03

I began walking 2 years ago when I quit smoking, I started doing a few exercises in the morning with an exercise ball and yoga stretches about a year ago.  I joined Curves 7 months ago, you know it’s surprising how quickly months go by.  I have read that it takes 6 months to a year for a program to make permanent changes to metabolism.  I guess I’m there. — SuzyQ Weight 124 WW Lifetime Membership Feb 03

I am getting quite a laugh out of this whole picture, particularly the visual brought about by the jumping coconut pie…. Did I ever tell you about the talking Miss Meringues?  I decided they were not helping me right now with the hunger thing I have going on, I have to have a Whole apple as opposed to 3 Miss M’s for a snack or it is a problem. I had a similar feeling when I stepped on the scale this morning. I expected the worse. Haven’t been great in the last couple of weeks, we’ve been repainting our kitchen, so that means lots of takeout food. Went out at a BBQ and ate too many doritos. And because were were busy getting house ready to sell, I haven’t been going to the gym. I Was surprises to see that I maintained. I just have to make sure I don’t get into the habit of doing this all the time.
