Integral Yoga on 13th street between 6th and 7th ave has open classes for hatha 1 and 2.  I’m a beginner, so may not have such high standards!  But the institute has been around for a long time and could perhaps help you .

So many good yoga schools in NY. What style do you want to take? There is the Iyengar yoga institute of New Yourk 212-691-YOGA, Sivananda schools, Please delineate as you ahve the incredibly good fortune of living in a Yoga rich area unlike Seattle which is dominated by a corrupt Iyengar school. Leslie Kaminoff is a great teacher, with a national reputation.  His studio is called Breath Inc, and is located in lower Manhattan.
