I ordered the CHAIROBICS video also and just started using it. I agree it’s very good. Hi!! New to group. Was diagnosed in 92 but started having symptons in 89. I have weakness in legs so I use a wheelchair so I can have my hands free to do cooking and laundry. I am 41, married,have 2 boys ages 11 and 14. They are very helpful. I consider myself lucky I haven’t had any pain. Take prednisone and Amantadine. Also have developed high blood pressure. My left side is affected as far as foot drop. Have been to therapy over the years but only found 1 therapist that seem to know about MS, but unfortunately was transfered to another, but she didn’t work out. Was told to stop and come back if I felt I needed more therapy. So I thought I would try a video instead. Megan, I personally like anything by Richard Simmons. Richard has been morbidly obese in his life and recovered thru healthy diet & excersize. Some of the people on his tapes are huge and have difficulty moving. Others are "average American" which means 10-50 lb overweight. Some appear to be professional dancers. I started doing these videos years ago before MS and find that I can still get a lot out of them. Depending on the effects of MS on you personally, you might have to modify some movements. If your balance is good enough to do some light dancing, you can do something with these videos. Sweating to the Oldies is my favorite. Best done in a very well air conditioned room. i have the richard simmons tape-reach for fitness. it’s for the "physically challenged" it’s pretty old, but neither disability nor exercise changes too radidly. if someone wants to give me an address, i’d happily mail it to them. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Kim March-Force wrote:
