Iyengar in India

Question:

Have any readers of this group studied with B.K.S. Iyengar in India? What was it like? I (and perhaps other subscribers to alt.yoga) would be interested learning about your experiences in Pune. TIA

Response:

Yoga Clip Art for Yoga enthusiasts For years, yoga teachers and friends have been asking me to design yoga clip art so that they can make their own flyers, brochures and posters. And I just completed the first volume of male and female models performing asanas ranging from simple hatha yog postures to dramatic ashtang poses.   For the past 8 years, I have lived in a yoga ashram, and while practicing yoga and doing graphic design, I found that yoga clip art didn’t exist, so I set about to change that. YOGART is a series of 20 illustrations that comes in three formats: outline, b&w and color/greyscale.  (You get all formats)  It’s exported in eps files for the IBM or MAC systems.  YOGART easily imports into most any application from word processing to any design package for you to create your own designs.  If you have design experience, you are able to modify the original drawings. YOGART is for beginners as well as advanced computer users.  For beginners, I have created a sample flyer and business card for you to add you name and address to.  For more advanced users, I have included instructions on how to use YOGART in other applications, how to design and how to take your finished product to the printers. I have created this product so that you can save the $50/hour it costs to hire a graphic designer.  You have enough experience to make what you want, why pay someone else for it?  And yogis are usually a creative bunch.  YOGART costs $30 +3 for S&H. I’m happily surprized by the level of interest, and am glad it’s filling a need.  I want to make sure that yoga is seen as well as felt and YOGART is my way of making that happen. If interested, send me your name, address and phone # and I’ll mail you (I have tried sending info over email, but the graphics get distorted, so I’m back to the old fashioned way :) ) BPV
