Women's Yoga Survey.
Question:
If you are a woman who is or has practiced Yoga Asanas for some time, we would like to hear from you about your experiences and/or problems doing asanas during your monthly periods. We are conducting a serious servey to obtain enough statistical data to put to rest, once and for all, the idea that a woman is not supposed to do asanas, especially inverted ones, during her period. We have so far, discovered NO substantiating proof of this idea and we will publish the statistical results, once in. Please read the article on the subject on our web page and respond, no matter how briefly, at http://www.vcn.bc.ca/ims-hq The latgter is the home page of the International Meditation Society in Victoria, BC. Thanks. Anthony. ** This world is not as it seems! * http://www.vcn.bc.ca/ims-hq **

I would not consider it a "serious survey" if it is conducted with the preannounced intent to disprove a particular hypothesis. Why would women who have problems doing asana while on their period bother to respond? You’ll likely ignore them anyway. Women who agree with you are more likely to respond to support your opinion. The scientific method is to evaluate the evidence, then draw conclusions. If you go looking for evidence to support the conclusions you’ve already drawn, you’ll probably find it, but no one is going to take your serious survey seriously. I have no vested interest either way, just a comment on your method. Brent Johnson
